I just viewed the recommended reading list for 9th grade. I find these books totally inappropriate for the impresionalbe minds of teens. The subject matter is too serious and the messages very negative. Teens should be reading books on character, big dreams, proper relationships between family, friends, and authority. Any conscientious parent would stay clear of exposing their teens to these types of reading materials.
