Visitor Review:
I put my daughter in the program because she had a past history with truancy, being bullied and being placed in alternative school. I was her learning coach as I will be teaching in brick and mortar school for 2016/2017 school year. The teachers are assigned more kids than they can keep track of. My child was not doing any work and was place on a tier 2 which is close monitoring. I spoke with one teacher and learned my child had basically made it seem like she was not getting any help from home she was abandoned. This teacher contacted the social worker at the virtual school. I spoke with this social worker and gave her the synopsis of the PAST and I repear PAST issues as to why my daughter was being home schooled and some of my concerns. This virtual wanna be a virtual champion contacted child protected services literally refabricated the story to her understanding. Long story short, she caused irreprable damage to the relationship between father and daughter, she traumatized my other children because they associate CPS with being taken away from your parents. Wasted CPS time they were apologetic and frustrated when I unravled what was what and I pinpointed exactly who called because she was the one I gave the synopsis to that she decided to rewrite. Needless to say a program that is already over its limit and response times drastically slow to none, they are out of line. What they should have been doing is verifying information helping a child in need to take accountability for her work, ended up causing damage to a household that did not welcome the wanna be a hero bored social worker…seriously a social worker that does what…its virtual class. I cant get out of this program fast enough to think that these micky mouse wanna be teachers who call and you can hear their screaming kids in the background just want to make a dollar while they stay at home not only fail at helping kids in need but decide they want to entertain themselves and write their own stories, is not worth the time wasted because I coul d have none a better job at teaching on my own than using this virtual joke. I pray this doesnt put my child behind and deter her more from finishing school. its a waste and no motivation just terror here folks. Good luck getting a human interaction.
