7 End of the Year Homeschool Activities

BlogNo CommentsJune 27, 2016Nicole Williams

There are lots of fun things you can do at the end of the school year, many of which can be used to celebrate your end! Try one of these fun ten end of the year homeschool activities listed below!

Portraits

Taking end of year portraits can be fun! Get creative by using a polaroid, making frames for the pictures, and more. You can even use these free chalkboard printables to capture the timeline of the picture. When you’re done your children can compare their picture with last year’s!

Awards

There are fewer activities that make a person feel more accomplished than winning an award. You can create your own special awards for your children and even make it an award ceremony! Your children will love that proud moment when they receive their award.

Start a Summer Journal

Encouraging your children to start a summer journal could be a really fun activity that they can look back on at the end of summer or even years to come. Writing in the journal for the first time can become a great end of year tradition.

Summer Planning

Have your children plan to draw pictures of what they plan to do, or what they want to do, over the summer. This is a really fun activity for them and will even give you more ideas of what to plan over the summer.

Have a Party

Call it an end-of-year party, call it a hello summer party, but call it a party! Invite some of your children’s friends over, break out the grill, and turn the first day of summer into a celebration.

Put on a Show

Art show, talent show, or science fair. Have your children put on a show to display their proud accomplishments. You can even invite family and friends to make it a bigger audience.

Create a Piece of Art

Have your children create something to express how they are feeling on their last day. Then you can display their piece of art somewhere in house for the summer.
