I used third grade and fourth grade with my now high school son many years ago while I was learning the cm approach. I really liked the curriculum due to the fact the work was laid out for teacher and student. I felt relieved not having to search for copy work, spelling and lit books due to the fact that cm was still new to me and I wasn’t sure how to implement. The grammar instruction was also implemented in the lessons . As a teacher it made teaching simple. even though i loved the curricula, i truly believe my son opinion weighs more since he was the student. He believes it was an easy to use curriculum with instructions laid out for him. He loved the lit books used and the stress free approach. However he felt it lacked spelling. Only 3 to 5 words are given in the lesson. He would of liked more words. Otherwise he loved it and still remembers the curricula.
