Keeps My Kids Interested and Engaged

Visitor Review:
I have used this homeschool curriculum for many years along with the DVDs. The DVDs take a huge load off of me and keep my kids interested and engaged. They have guest speakers, puppet shows, and science experiments that my kids can conduct along with the teacher or just watch. There are plenty of writing assignments and thoughtful discussions.

My kids have always seemed to be bored with the math, however, so we would advance pretty quickly through it. Sometimes I would substitute Saxon math if I felt the it was too easy.

I absolutely love the reading curriculum. They give you an extra reading list of books that complement whatever material they are currently covering.

I feel that the extra expense of the DVDs along with the textbooks is worth it and my kids are getting a great education.

Personally, I did not use Bob Jones University Press but I do completely agree with the sentiment of using what you want to do and what works for you.

I homeschooled all five of our kids with Bob Jones University Press and absolutely loved it. I used all text books and my kids excelled. Please remember, if you are a new homeschooler to pick and choose what you WANT to do. Don’t feel compelled to do it all. Keep it simple and enjoyable for what works for YOUR family schedules!! Your kids will love you and you will love homeschooling that way.
Most new moms make the mistake of bringing public school into their Christian home.
Start now and Read ahead and plan to do the activities, too. School doesn’t have to be only paperwork and books. Dialogue or have the child act out a drama after doing reading with the kids. They will retain more with this curriculum I promise. This curriculum has it all!!
