Visitor Review:
We used K12 for 3 years as part of the public school system. For us it was too much work and very time consuming. To do the k-12 curriculum along w/ all the things required for state assessments was insane!

My son had some emotional issues this year and when they caught wind that he may not do well on the state assessments the school district was going to drop us!

All in all I do think K-12 is great in the early years but by third grade its insane. It may work well for a gifted and motivated child.

As a homeschooler I want the freedom that comes w/homeschooling. I didn’t find freedom this year. This year we had a lot of undue stress and tears.

I have learned at least this: take it one kid one year at a time.I also know that God will give you wiosdm as you ask for His best.I think the reason we are called parents is that we arefree to make this decision for our kiddos. Our own comfort level must be considered as we make this decision. How about focusing on what is best for ourown family and not compare too much with our friend’sdecisions?Great post Sam!
