We have used the ACE curriculum for several years. We don’t use it as our sole curriculum but we do supplement with their courses. Word Building is one of my favorite. I feel that vocabulary and word mastery is very important to a student’s progression through their educational years. It will also help if they decide to take the ACT/SAT. I find it to be detail oriented and self-guiding. Another course we use is the math for our 5th grader. The math is sequenced in a way that you can jump in out of and not have to follow along with the next book. There may be a concept that he doesn’t know that is down in the 3rd grade level. I buy that book, he masters that concept and we move on at whatever level he is working on.
Not everything has to be hard or confusing. Your patience level is not tested and the curriculum is very user friendly.
