My son is in 9th grade with k12. We have nearly killed ourselves trying to keep up with the work load and the total craziness of this high school program.
It has left he and I so discouraged and stressed out. I have been homeschooling for years. I have never seen anything like this! It is too much! We will not do this next year. It has so discouraged him that he dreads school.
My younger child in elementary classes loves it. It is high school that is too hard and to stressful. My son is a smart kid but that program is not for us. I am all for a challenging curriculum but this is too much. It is disorganized and you are left on your own to figure out a lot of the material. One of the teachers has been very good to him the rest barely pay attention to anything unless we email them and then we’re lucky to hear back a day or so later.
Besides the one great teacher he has had and my daughter’s great teacher, there’s not much to say to the positive. There are so many problems that it’s hard to mention them all. We are very frustrated! I really feel sorry for all these kids (and parents) that are trying so hard and getting so frustrated.
All parents and students who are discouraged…You are not alone guys. We know how you feel. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.
