My daughter and I both use Rosetta Stone Latin American Spanish 1 – 3, and it is fantastic. She is 8 and started with only a few words. I am in my thirties and had quite a bit of Spanish. We are learning together, but at our own paces.
The only negative we’ve found is the program’s voice recognition has trouble understanding younger children. She will be correctly pronouncing a word or sound, but the program can’t understand her, even though she’s set up as “under 14”.
The program is well rounded, covering pronunciation to spelling to reading, and ranges across many topics. I can’t recommend it highly enough. It is the only way to learn a language if you do not have a native speaker available to you.
