Visitor Review:
The entire year was filled with continual technical challenges, constant teacher turn over, and no replies to emails or phone calls. Finally at the end of the year my son was so far behind that we were given a deadline as to when all the work had to be turned in and final. My son worked his butt off to get everything he needed. Instead of assisting in his learning, they blew him off as “failed” two weeks before the given deadline. It crushed him!
I do not want to place blame on the school 100%. He had to slow down and learn. Nevertheless, the teachers do not “teach”. The “live lessons” are cancelled often, or, the teachers just do not appear when they are scheduled.
When I took my son for testing I discovered the teachers, principal, and counselor are a lot to be desired in regards to communicating effectively. They emailed the WRONG times and days when to show up. We showed up on the last day – supposed last day – and was told we did not need to be there (we drove 45 min across town into a very dangerous area – where a gun may be needed).
I WOULD NOT recommend Connections Academy to anyone!
